Grigorios Dikaios, nicknamed ‘Papaflessas' was one of the most distinguished fighters in the struggle. Although he was a priest, he became a member of the Friendly Society and helped in the struggle for the liberation. He took part in many battles and uprisings against the Turks. When Imbrahim Pasha had conquered almost the whole of the Morias and the Revolution was in great danger, Papaflessas was courageous enough to put up strong resistance with his men at Maniaki, where he died heroically.
